Sparkle in Black: Updating Your Little Black Party Dress

Every woman has that go-to little black party dress. It’s classic, easy to wear and perfect for any occasion. After a while though, it can feel like you’re wearing the same thing over and over again. Whether you stick with what you have or you’re looking for something fresh and new, there are a few ways you can update your going-out look.

Our Little Black Dress

If we were to have breakfast at Tiffany’s, then the dress we would wear would be the black Moluccella Knit Jacquard Dress. The dress has a slightly embossed floral design. It’s the perfect length, so soft, and has lightly ruffled trim and sleeves, making it just right for any season.

This dress is an in-store Eve’s Temptation’s exclusive, so feel free to contact us if you want this dress, or other in-store exclusive items, for yourself.

Glam It Up with Silver & Gold

Our stylists’ approach to giving little black dresses everywhere new life: silver metallic and glittering gold.

A silver, geometric necklace and matching metallic clutch gives this classic little dress more of a modern, edgy look while bringing some light to the face and silhouette. So, come out of the shadows and shine like the diamond you are!

No look is really complete without a touch of glitter – gold glitter nail polish to be exact. It adds just enough sparkle to dazzle bystanders and not be tacky. Your hands never take a day off, so give them, and yourself, a little treat.

Lip gloss L to R: Golden Rouge, Berry Pie, Amethyst Dream

Gloss-up your look with a pop of color of your favorite shade of Rose Honey lip gloss. I recommend Golden Rouge Lip Luster, as it has tiny flecks of gold micro-shimmer, and will go perfectly with your glittery gold nail polish.

For shoes, our stylists chose black, lace-up peep-toe booties with lace details.

With the items altogether, the final look is edgy, yet classic with a personality of its own. It can be worn to a party, on a night out with the girls, or even a concert. That’s the beauty of little black dresses, “one is never over-dressed or underdressed.”
