Don’t you just love the feeling of spring? The flowers blooming, warmer weather and longer days? I know I do! All of this makes me think of bright colors, especially shades of pink, which was the inspiration for this week’s nail tutorial: Spring Tulips.
Keep reading to find out how you can recreate this super easy look.
First up, you’ll want to gather your supplies.
- Nude Polish (Neri)
- 2 shades of contrasting Pink Polish (Merilyn & Shayndel)
- Yellow Polish (Yvonne)
- Green Polish (Gelsey)
- Top Coat
- Nail Art Striping Brush
I started off by applying two coats of Neri, a nude tone color to each of my ring fingers. I wanted the base color to be nude because it will make the colors of the tulips really pop.
Once the base color dried, I went in with my striper brush using one of the pink polishes – Merilyn – and drew an upside down ‘U’. I then created three lines going up, imitating the flower petals and then filled in the space to create a full tulip. For my green, I used Gelsey to create the stem and petals. I then added more flowers using Shayndel to add more life and color to the flowers!
You can paint tulips on all of your nails; I just chose to create the flowers on both ring fingers for fun accent nails and then selected a pink shade of one of the flowers for the rest of my nails.
There are so many ways to create your own look, time to get creative!
