5 Fall Nail Trends We’re Excited to Try

Fall is just around the corner and that means one thing: time to transition from bright, bold colors, to warm, crisp neutrals and rich jewel tones. New York Fashion Week Fall 2017 wrapped earlier this year, but we wanted to highlight some of our favorite nail trends as seen backstage of some of the most relevant designers today.

Read to learn more about these looks, and get ready to Fall for these gorgeous looks!

Neutral Territory

Season after season, we see neutral shades make a comeback, as worn backstage at Michael Kors. Warm neutrals add instant polish (pardon the pun!) and are very flattering on just about all skin tones.

Try the look yourself with the shade, Tara; apply 2 coats, add your top coat and you’re all set!

Backstage at Ulla Johnson, moon manis were all the rage. Gold glitter was applied at the cuticle area, while the the rest of the nail beds were kept clean and neatly filed.

Give it a go with Gordana, a chunky gold glitter and 2 coats of our Gel Top Coat for added shine.

Metallic Details

Designers Cushnie et Ochs have become well known for their clean lines and sleek silhouettes. The nail looks seen backstage were an extension of that aesthetic, as the chic manicures matched the chic fashions that walked the runway.

They used a soft sheer hue, and added silver metallic striping tape across the center of the nail – so clever!

Give this look a try using Neri as your color base and adding a sliver of silver nail art tape.

Colorblocking

Colorblocking has been popular for the last few years, and now we’re seeing the trend extend into nail art. Colorblocking is a great way to add visual interest, playing with an array of colors, as inspired earlier this year by designer Jeremy Scott. This look can easily be worn during fall – just switch your colors according to the season or your mood!

Use nail art tape to recreate the geometric shapes.  Place the tape any direction across the nail. Polish each layer a different color until your desired look is achieved.

Unexpected French Tips

At Prabal Gurung we see another twist on the classic French Tip Manicure. This look is incredibly easy to recreate by using a brush stroke across each nail and filling in the rest of each nail tip.

Consider trying the look with the shade Taylor, adding 2 coats of our Gel Top Coat for endless shine.
